Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc. has entered into an Agreement with Jeffrey Specialty Equipment Corporation, to represent several lines of their equipment to the Forest Products industries in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The equipment includes the industry standard Jeffrey wood hog, and the highly successful Chip-Sizer™ introduced in 1997 with more than 110 installations to date. Carmanah was chosen by Jeffrey due to our reputation as a high quality innovative supplier and our strong commitment to customer service.  The equipment will be manufactured at Jeffrey’s plant with warehousing of parts in Vancouver.

Jeffrey, located in Woodruff, South Carolina, USA has been manufacturing equipment for North American customers since the late 1800’s and is a subsidiary of K-Tron International, listed on the NASDAQ exchange as KTII.

Carmanah designs and manufactures Debarking, Chipping and Screening equipment for the sawmill, and pulp and paper industry.   In North America, CARMANAH has a license agreement to manufacture and sell the Fuji King Debarker and was instrumental in bringing this rotary technology to North America in the early 1990’s.
