MILLAR WESTERN FOREST PRODUCTS buys Super Chipper!

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has received an order for a 65" Super Chipper from Millar Western Forest Products for their mill-site at Fox Creek, Alberta. Delivery is scheduled for late 2010.

Carmanah offers an extensive range of equipment designed for the engineered wood, pulp and paper, sawmill and pellet manufacturing industries. In 2006, Carmanah acquired the Nicholson chipper line to augment their existing and very successful chipper range of products that includes the Sumner, Black Clawson and CAE brands.

HOOD INDUSTRIES chooses another Carmanah Chipper!

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has received an order to supply Hood Industries Inc. in Beaumont, Mississippi with another Carmanah Chipper.

This is a replacement for an existing Roto-Drum Chipper that has been operating since 1996.

Delivery of this equipment is scheduled for February 2010.

LISTUGUJ continues to order Carmanah Equipment!

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has received an order to supply a KD4/20DTM Fuji King Debarker to LMG (Listuguj) for installation at their Atholville, New Brunswick, Chip Plant.

This single Debarker module will be installed in December 2009 in-line with the existing Carmanah supplied KD4/50DTM Fuji King Debarker. The line is part of a complete chip plant that includes a 96” Carmanah Chipper and Screen all supplied in 2003.

The chip plant has performed extremely well, allowing the customer to secure a larger, long-term chip supply contract.  The addition of this module will allow them to meet the requirements of their new contract.

ROSEBURG FOREST PRODUCTS chooses Carmanah Chipper Again!

[ VANCOUVER, British Columbia Canada ]

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has received an order to supply Roseburg Forest Products in Dillard,Oregon, with a Carmanah 65” Advantage Chipper. This chipper will be supplied with a second infeed spout to allow it to efficiently process oversized chips and planer mill waste simultaneously.

The Chipper is scheduled for delivery to Roseburg’s Planer mill in November 2009. In 2008 Carmanah supplied Roseburg with an Advantage Chipper for their sawmill operation in Dillard.

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has received an order to supply a King Debarker to INDECK Energy Services and Mid West Forest Products for the Ladysmith Biofuel Center to be located in Northern Wisconsin. The plant will use residual and excess wood to process wood pellets for energy. The Debarker is a Model KD6/30DT and will be delivered in March 2009, followed by start-up in July 2009.

Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc., located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has recently received an order to supply equipment to the first OSB Mill to be built in Russia. This order will consist of Two (2) 28/81 SmartRING Batch Stranders, complete with Batch Feeders, which will be designed to process 5.45 metre long logs to the Stranders.

This new OSB project will be located in Russia at a site one thousand kilometers east of Moscow.  Delivery of the machines is scheduled for early 2009.

Canadian Forest Products Ltd., Plateau Division has chosen a Carmanah 65” 8-Knife Super Chipper for their sawmill in Vanderhoof, BC.  This chipper incorporates a horizontal infeed, Key Knife Disposable Knife System and a ‘swing-away’ side anvil door.     

Delivery is scheduled for late December 2007, with installation and start up planned for early 2008.

Weyerhaeuser Company has ordered a Carmanah 65" Super Chipper for their Longview, Washington sawmill project. Delivery took place December 2007 and start-up began in spring 2008.

Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Corrigan, Texas has placed an order for a Carmanah 38" x 30" Roto-Drum Chipper. This equipment was delivered in December 2007 with start-up planned for early 2008.

International Forest Products, located in Chase, BC has chosen two (2) Carmanah Super Chippers for their new 'state-of-the-art' sawmill. This new mill will replace the existing Adams Lake operation and was delivered in November 2007.
